From the author…
The most challenging thing about learning an instrument is staying motivated. It takes hundreds of hours of practice to master your craft. One of the things I have found most helpful is keeping a practice schedule. I write down my goals for the week and then schedule practice time for each day. There is something about making a plan that motivates me. And it’s nice at the end of the week when I have log of all my hard work. I have nearly 10 years of practice logs and it has been the most helpful thing in my progress on the guitar.
Recently I came up with the idea of putting together a book with a years worth of blank practice schedules. I expanded the schedule I have always used into two pages and added an article on techniques that I have found helpful in my own practice. Together I think it is an amazing tool for any musician. If you’re a musician check it out and see what a difference focus practice makes.
